Women’s Emphasis Day is observed each year as part of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church event. Women prepare and lead the worship service on this day. As we prepared for the event, this series delved into the life of faithful biblical women, and the theme of this year’s women’s emphasis day is “Heroines of Faithfulness.”
On June 11, 2022, this event was held at Asia-Pacific International Church. The service began at 10:00 a.m., followed by the Praise and Thanksgiving season led by the Music Ministry. Supassara Ritthitraiphop’s Mission Story was followed by Mission Spotlight. Everyone, especially the participants, prepared for Divine Worship at 10:40 a.m. Pr. Franklin Hutabarat greeted everyone and made the necessary announcements. Women from both AIU and AIMS led the call to worship. Teachers Nerlie, Belle, Heidi, Jelmie, and Margie led the hymn of praise, “Great is Thy Faithfulness.” Mrs. Bienvisa Nebres led the Pastoral Prayer, Ms. Nguyen Phuong Linh read the Scripture, Ms. Maxine Newell called for offering, and Marvel Thawda read a children’s story titled “little Heroine of Faithfulness.”
Following the children’s story, the Chime ensemble group of AIMS teachers (Mella Mae, Linda, Tracy, Royce, Marizel, Marlene, Pranee, Rose, Bambie, Marian, Marissa, and Supranee) performed a hymn of praise titled “Children of the Heavenly Father.” Ms. Hazel Ginajil delivered the sermon following the harmonious and melodic music. This was followed by the response hymn “Just When I Need Him Most,” performed by a group of AIMS teachers on ukelele – Jane, Mirma, Jinky, Katherine, Rojean, and Mella Mae. Ms. Aseneta Bodonyi performed the closing song. Ajarn Ritha Maidom presented a seminar in the afternoon about developing our fear of God.
Fortunately, with God’s assistance, the program went well. The musical renditions and message from our Almighty Father in Heaven were well received by those inside the church. It was an honor for me to be a part of this once-a-year women’s emphasis day. The following are some of the most important lessons I took away from the story: They feared the Lord, handled the situation wisely, and chose to obey God over man (humans). 4. They stood up to injustice and defended the weak; 5. Their faithfulness saved the entire Hebrew race; 6. God rewarded their faithfulness; and 7. The Bible has given us many good examples of ordinary people who, through faith and trust in God, have led extraordinary lives in God’s plan for salvation. God uses faithful women who have had personal encounters with him to be an instrument in spreading the good news!
